			ELL Level 4 We will be using the Visions Text book, Level C. Some unit topics we will be covering this year are Survival, Journeys, Cycles and Freedom. Within those units we will cover reading strategies such as, making inferences, recognizing tone and mood, distinguishing fact from opinion, paraphrasing, finding main idea and supporting details, conparing and contrasting and much more. We will also be working on different styles of writing such as, realistic fiction, informational text, instructions, descriptive essays, poems, letters, news articles, persuasive letters and essays and much more! ELL Level 1-Morning Class We will be using two books, Visions Level A and Weaving It Together Level 1. Some units we will be covering are, customs, food, inventions, people,and readings from literature. Within those units we will cover reading, writing and grammar. We will look at pronouns, prepositional phrases, paraphrasing, past and present tense, adjectives, prepositions of time and all parts of speech. We will be working on many different writing styles such as biographies, poems, descriptions, compare and contrast paragraphs and informative paragraphs. This will be a busy and fun year!

We will cover unit topics such as introductions, describing people, describing the school, describing your family, home and neighborhood. We will work with yes/no questions and use present, past and future tenses. We will also work with pronunciation and develop important reading strategies. We will have a great year!
