			9th Grade Science (Semester 1 ) In the first semester we will work with the topics in physical science related more to Physics. First semester topics include: Energy; Force and Motion; Work and Power; Simple Machines; Sound; Light; Electricity and Magnetism. 9th Grade Science (Semester 2) In the second semester we will shift our focus to more of a Chemistry emphasis. Students will learn the difference between mixtures and pure substances and how to separate and identify. This part of the course usually culminates with a project called Sludge.
