Book Reports
On the final school day of each month (other than May) a fiction book report will be due. Book choices must be authorized by the teacher. Expectations are different each month. On the first day of each month, students will be given an assignment sheet describing the expectations and shown examples from prior students.

SSR
Ten minutes of SSR (silent sustained reading), will be given most days in class. It may be the first 10 minutes of class, or at the end. Students are not allowed to talk, work on other assignments, or leave to go to their locker, library, or bathroom as this is time for them to relax, and begin working on their books for the book report. Students will be given daily points for remembering their books and using the time appropriately. Misbehavior or forgetting their books will result in a deduction of points.
