			WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN! Hi, I am Mrs. Huebsch, and I have been teaching kindergarten for 22 years. You, your child and I will share the next nine months together. I would like to assure you of my concern for your child's well-being and my commitment in making this year a positive school experience. 2010 We are excited to be in kindergarten. Winter theme continue with weather, dental health, Valentine's Day, sink and float, living and non-living and friendship.
						My Links Learn to Read at Starfall Literacy Center Educational Network Curricular Areas We are on our way throught the alphabet from September - December. We are really focusing on the sounds each letter makes so we can use strategies to read. From January-June we mix it up a bit my choosing various letters each week to study and use. We are learning to read little books with Mrs. Huebsch and Mrs. Lucken during Guided Reading. Our class is busy with reading and writing's workshop,art, music and phy. ed.. We are busy with Math Centers too. We are working on writing and reading all of our names, color words, number words and our special "STAR" words. We are learning many ways to count including backwards, and by 10's all the way to 100 and beyond. We can make patterns, sort and classify objects and we are starting to understand number stories.
