The Weekly Review
Language Arts: We reviewed choosing “Good Fit” books. We also revisited ending sounds and CVC words.

We reached our 15 min. read to self goal!

We enjoyed some St. Patrick’s Day stories, writing and delicious Lucky Charms graphing!

Math: In math we worked hard on writing and illustrating addition number stories. Next week we dive into subtraction.

Artist in Residence
During the week of March 28-April 1 Kindergarten will be joined by Artist in Residence Christopher Lutter-Gardella. During this week will learn about puppet making and storytelling.

May Field Trip
On May 6th our class will be taking a field trip to Earthway Farm in South Haven. This is an all day field trip. Due to our large kindergarten group this year I will only be able to take 5 chaperones. A letter regarding this trip is attached. Chaperones will be selected on a first come basis.

Save the Date!! Spring Concert
On April 8th our Kindergarten class will host a music concert. This is an opportunity for you to come to lunch with your child, and then follow them to music class to see what they have learned.

Lunch is served at about 10:45am. The concert will follow at 11:15am. I will send another reminder as the date gets closer.
You will need to let Patti (in the office) know if you will be eating lunch with your child. Please call ahead if possible.

Wet Socks
Because of the spring thaw many students are complaining about wet socks. Please be sure to set boots out overnight to dry, rather than putting them in backpacks. Also, it is a good idea to send an extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack. They can put these after recess if their feet are wet. Please continue to send snow gear until all of the snow has melted.

Important Dates
March 21: Gretta’s Birthday
March 29th: KRIS store
March 28-April 1: Artist in Residence
April 8: Lunch and concert
May 6: Field Trip
