Charlie, an extremely shy, Englishman who has a fear of speaking to strangers, is brought by his friend, "Froggy," to a Boarding House in rural Georgia, for some much needed rest and relaxation. At the Boarding House, Froggy concocts an outrageous scheme to save Charlie from his pathologically shy self by introducing him as an exotic "foreigner" who doesn't understand a word of English! Soon, everyone is fussing over and confiding in Charlie, including Betty, the kindly owner of this lodge; Catherine, a beautiful debutante engaged to be married; Ellard, her sweet but slow Uncle. Add to this mix, escapees from a mental institution, a poet, a couple of bad guys; and, well, you'll need to see the show to find out whether or not Charlie is able to rise to the occasion in the ultimate good guys vs. the bad guys show down!
