			TECHNOLOGY INSTUCTOR: CHUCK HENTGES TECHNOLOGY CONSIST OF 6 MAJOR AREAS: TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION DRAFTING UNIT CAD (computer aided drafting)Inventor program POWER AND ENERGY TECHNOLOGY DESIGN TECHNOLOGY CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY Gateway to Technology (GTT 1 year course) Introduction to Technology Introduction to Engineering Design and Modeling unit (Inventor program) Robotics and Automation Manufacturing unit (CNC Lathe) Transportation unit Architectural Design ACTIVITIES AND ASSSIGNMENTS TECHNONOGY EDUCATION CLASS -The students are starting the architectural design unit. They will be designing a floor plan of a house, they will draw the plans up and then figure the total cost of building the house using a catalog of different materials. GATEWAY TO TECHNOLOGY (GTT) Year Long Both teams are working on the mechanical arm. The next 2 weeks they will be using thier working drawings to make the pieces of the arm and then assemble it.
