			Introduction I have worked with 5 - 8 year old students that were assigned to special education for 16 years. I have worked with First Graders for the past 14 years. First Graders learn so much in a year and they transform into scholars during the year. Schedule 7:45 Opening, pledge, attendance, lunch count, and calendar activities. 7:55 Reading, 8:45 Break for snack, milk and/or juice 9:00 Phonics skill game groups (3) 9:20 Handwriting and independent skill work 9:25 Guided Reading Groups 10:00 Language Arts: Literature and/or 6 Traits Writing 10:40 Ready for Lunch 10:45 Lunch First and then Recess 11:25 Math Lesson 12:30 Specialists: Art, Music, or PE 1:20 Science, Health, Social Studies lessons 2:05 Jobs: Pick up the room 2:10 Ready to go! 2:15 Dismissal
