12th Grade Economics I: Economics is the social science that studies how individuals, households, businesses, and governments use scarce resources to satisfy their unlimited wants and needs.

Senior to Sophomore Economics: Economics 201 is a 3 credit introductory economics course taught in conjunction with St. Cloud State University. Students are introduced to the economic way of thinking by examining twelve major social issues. Economic concepts necessary to understand these issues will be opportunity cost, rational behavior, and marginal analysis as a way to approach maximum behavior.

Sociology: Sociology is the social science that studies human society and social behavior (human relationships). The tools of sociological inquiry are applied to the study of contemporary social issues and events so that sociology becomes personally meaningful. By relating concepts to contemporary and historical events, students come to appreciate the relevance of sociology in their daily lives.

Classes consist of group discussions, movies, power point presentations, textbook readings, as well as other activities.
