			Health Education 10 "No Knowledge is more crucial than knowledge about health. Without it no life goal can be successfully achieved." Students at Apollo High School take Health Education for one trimester in their sophomore year. It is our mission to inspire our youth to become responsible for their overall wellness in the hope that they will choose healthy lifestyle enhancing behaviors. The curriculum is designed to help students understand that the decisions they make can affect the quality of their lives both now and in the future. The lessons and activities focus on the eight National Health Standards. ELL PE 9 The PE 9 ELL course was developed for female English Language Learners only. It was established to inspire the students to strive for excellence in developing a state of well being that enables them to meet their fullest potential. This class takes into account cultural background and beliefs to create a framework that promotes building cardiovascular wellness, muscular strength, endurance, flexibilty and body composition. This course is three trimesters.
						My Links Kids Health Center for Disease Control Mayo Clinic Health Finder American Dietetic Association Health 2 elective Community CPR/FA/AED This is an elective course that meets alternating days for tenth, eleventh and twelth grade students for one trimester. The student will work to become certified in adult, child and infant CPR, Adult AED and first aid.
