Sept. 25: Students are studying vocab for sections 1-5 and 1-6 in their packets. They will have a quiz on those sections on Oct. 1.

Sept. 26: The crossword puzzles at the end of the packet are due on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Sept. 30: Since so many students were on field trips today, we will correct the crossword puzzle tomorrow. The quizzes on 1-5 and 1-6 will be on Thursday.

Oct. 1: Corrected puzzles. Went through "Johann Sagt . . . "(Simon Says) activity. Students are to write one for other students with 20 sentences. Quizzes 1-5 and 1-6 are Oct. 2.

Oct. 2: We did the Simon says activities around the room. I shared stories about the exchange program as well as other experiences in Germany. Students took quizzes for 1-5 and 1-6. We reviewed some of the vocab for 7 and 8; students were asked to study the vocab for 1-7 and 1-8.

Oct. 3: Students viewed a movie about the Oktoberfest, and we spoke about why it takes place in September.

Oct. 6: We practiced prepositions, using colored wooden blocks. Students built towers and then described where the blocks were in relation to one another. We reviewed countries and capitals as well. The Unit 1 test is on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Oct. 9: Students took the Unit 1 test. We corrected them in class. Tomorrow, we will begin Unit 2.

Oct. 10: The German-to-English sheet is due on Monday. Students should review the vocab for 2-1 and 2-2. Additionally, they should sign on to the computer program and practice vocab for at least ten minutes each day. They were asked to work on the crossword for units 1-4; they will only be able to fill in the vocabulary for units 1 and 2 at this point. However, if they have it half done, it won't be so hard to finish when they get their vocabulary words for units 2-3 and 2-4.

Oct. 13: We corrected the German-to-English page. We studied the conversations and read stories 2-1 and 2-2. Tomorrow, we will play Steh auf! and then students will write quizzes 2-1 and 2-2. Study the vocab!

Oct. 14: We played Steh auf! to review vocabulary; then, students took two quizzes. Tomorrow is an IS day. Names of those who need to stay to work will be posted. We will continue with 2-3 and 2-4 on Monday.
