Human Anatomy and Physiology is a full year course, where we explore all of the systems of the body. During the course of our studies, we will do many labs that allow the students "hands-on" learning. The students have the option of receiving credit at SCSU and at the SCTC for their work here at Apollo. We are currently studying the Skeletal Sysyem. We have real bones on order, so that we can do a bone lab on Oct. 13 and 14 and get "hands-on" knowledge of what the different structures of bones look like and feel like. We will also have the help of our skeleton who likes to "dress up" for Halloween! Health Careers- Welcome to my Health Careers students, who had to excel in Human Anatomy and Physiology during the previous year. In Health Careers, the students are now in the midst of a Medical Terminology course of study. They will be receiving credit at the SCTC for this course. These credits are transferrable to other schools as well. The students just finished their resumes, and took part in Mock Interviews on Thursday, Oct. 2. This is a highly valuable exercise, as it helps them to learn more about interviewing prior to their actual interview for their first internship.
