			Get out your fine-tooth comb... We're sharpening up our sleuthing skills with a mystery genre study. Students will be reading a mystery themed book and completing a "Reporter's Notebook," which will require students to answer the 5 W's of the story (who, what, where, when, why). In addition, we will also be learning some common story elements and mystery vocabulary. In math, we are working on a measurement unit. Students are learning about the U.S. Customary System, as well as the Metric System. We are measuring to the nearest 1/4, 1/2, and whole inch and centimeter. We will also be discussing perimeter and area. Please continue to help your child by practicing the basic addition and subtraction facts at home.
