Get out your fine-tooth comb...
We're sharpening up our sleuthing skills with a mystery genre study. Students will be reading a mystery themed book and completing a "Reporter's Notebook," which will require students to answer the 5 W's of the story (who, what, where, when, why). In addition, we will also be learning some common story elements and mystery vocabulary.

In math, we are working on a measurement unit. Students are learning about the U.S. Customary System, as well as the Metric System. We are measuring to the nearest 1/4, 1/2, and whole inch and centimeter. We will also be discussing perimeter and area.

Please continue to help your child by practicing the basic addition and subtraction facts at home. Some of "My Links" will be helpful.
