My Links Microsoft Clip Art Minnesota DNR Resources Common Media Questions How do I get checkout equipment? Leave a voicemail or email for me. What equipment can I check out? Video cameras, boom boxes, digital and 35mm cameras, opaque projectors and overheads are available for teacher checkout. Talk to me about other requests. How do I get something fixed? Email or VoiceMail your request to: bryon.anderson@isd742.org Paper requests left on desk or in mailbox will not be answered. How can I show a video to a large audience? We have two channels (57 & 59) to broadcast videotapes to the classrooms. If you want to show a video in more than one room, we can broadcast it for you and any room that wants to show it can turn to the appropriate channel. Please let LaRayne know 24 hours in advance and have your tape cued and ready to go. How do I schedule the media center? Check the online calendar (http://www.isd742.org/~north) to see if it’s available. Call Kathy Beuning to schedule. Drop off a copy of the project with Bryon. Nonfiction and reference are in lower media and fiction and biographies are in upper media. What’s the best way to have students use the Internet? We put links to web pages up on the building web page. Students can then access the links from home. Email any bookmarks to Bryon 24 hours in advance with the project title. How do students learn about overdue books? Overdue notices are sent on Tuesdays. They will be put in PO boxes so teachers can hand them out in Advisory. Most books are checked out for 2 weeks, but textbooks and magazines are overnight only. Items can be returned to book returns on either level. What do I do if a bulb burns out? Send a student to pick one up or call Bonnie and she will deliver one to your room (be sure to let us know which bulb you need). If you replace it yourself, try not to touch the bulb. The oil from your fingers can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. |
