Language Arts
Our current reading is “Family Times.” During this theme, the children will recognize ways that families care, share and celebrate. They will make predictions and evaluations as they read. We will also work on matching spoken words to print and words that begin with the same sounds. Please continue to review the sight words.

Math
We will be working on sorting, classifying, and patterning. These activities help the children to think analytically, express their thoughts clearly, see relationships and develop the basis for mathematical reasoning. Help your child by having him/her sort and classify various items in your house, such as nails, screws, buttons, etc.

Lunch codes
The children are doing an excellent job entering their lunch code. Thank you, thank you so much for helping at home. It truly made a difference!


Field Trip
Thanks to your help with our school fundraisers and PTSA, we are able to go to the fire station. We will be going on Thursday, November 13th. We will be leaving the school at 8:10 and return by 10:00. If you would like to volunteer, please let me know. Additional details enclosed in folder.

Conferences
Conferences are Thursday, November 13th and Tuesday, November 18th. Please return the conference slip that was sent home last week. If a time does not work for you, please call to reschedule.

Snack
Help! We are running low on snack supply. Please bring in one or two boxes of snack to share with the class. Check peanut safe snack ideas in the BEE book.

Welcome
